A 2002 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 – this was the first motorcycle I ever owned and boy did I love it. I basically learned how to ride on this one and it was just absolutely liberating.
I bought it from an 83 year old man named Frank and his wife just finally told him – that thing has to go! He took good care of it over the years and I continued the tradition. It now lives with a young man up in Vale Colorado who is also from North Carolina originally.
It quickly felt too small for me though and I moved on to larger bikes a little over a year later…
